Who is responsible for this site
Mafia Night is an independently operated web game published under the Mafia Night name. For privacy questions or requests, email admin@mafianight.io or use the contact page.
Game-room information
We process the minimum information needed to create a live multiplayer room:
- the display name and avatar you choose;
- a random player identifier and secret reconnect token;
- the room code, player connection status, assigned role, readiness, night actions, votes, and game outcome; and
- the selected Mafia or Werewolf theme and host configuration.
This information is held in server memory while the room is active. It is not written to an application database. Inactive rooms and their in-memory game data are automatically removed after two hours.
Information stored on your device
Your browser may store your chosen display name, avatar, room identifier, player identifier, and reconnect token in local storage. This lets the same browser restore your seat after a refresh, phone lock, or short connection loss. Local storage remains on your device until the game replaces it or you clear this site's data through browser settings.
Anyone with access to your unlocked browser could potentially reopen an active seat, so do not share reconnect values or use a public device without clearing site data afterward.
Network and hosting data
Like nearly every website, our hosting and network providers necessarily process technical request information such as IP address, user agent, requested URL, timestamps, connection diagnostics, and security signals to deliver the site, prevent abuse, and maintain reliability. Infrastructure providers may retain limited logs under their own operational and legal requirements. Mafia Night does not use these details to create player profiles.
Google AdSense, cookies, and similar technologies
Default builds do not request ads while Mafia Night is awaiting approval for Google's H5 Games Ads program. If game ads are enabled after approval, the Google Ad Placement API may declare an interstitial opportunity only after a match has ended and the host taps Play again. No ad placement is called during the lobby, role reveal, night action, discussion, or voting flow. Public guides may also use Google AdSense in the future; this policy will continue to describe any enabled advertising behavior.
- Third-party vendors, including Google, may use cookies or similar technologies to serve and measure ads based on a visitor's prior visits to this site or other websites.
- Google's use of advertising cookies enables Google and its partners to serve personalized ads where permitted and consented to, or non-personalized/limited ads where applicable.
- You can manage Google advertising personalization in My Ad Center.
- You can learn how Google uses information from sites that use its services at How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
- Where other certified ad vendors are used, their technologies and choices are presented through the applicable consent interface.
For visitors in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, Switzerland, and other regions where consent or opt-out notices are required, privacy choices are managed through Google AdSense Privacy & messaging or another Google-certified consent management platform. The message may offer consent, rejection, and settings choices as applicable. You can reopen available privacy choices through the consent control provided on the site or use the browser's cookie/site-data controls.
Analytics
Mafia Night does not currently include a separate third-party analytics product in its application code. Advertising and hosting providers may still produce aggregated measurement or operational logs as described above.
Legal bases and purposes
Depending on your location, we process temporary game and connection data to provide the service you request, pursue legitimate interests in security and reliability, comply with legal obligations, and—where required—rely on consent for advertising cookies and personalized advertising.
Sharing
Room participants see the display name and avatar you choose. During and after play, they may also see game information necessary for the rules, such as connection status, votes, eliminated roles, or final roles. We use service providers for hosting, network delivery, and advertising; they process information under their own terms and privacy obligations. We do not sell a player-account database because no such database exists.
Children
Mafia Night is a general-audience social party game and is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly request a child's real name, email address, phone number, or account registration. Parents or guardians who believe a child has provided personal information can contact us, although temporary room data will ordinarily have expired automatically.
Your choices and rights
- Use a nickname rather than a real name.
- Clear local storage, cookies, and other site data through browser settings.
- Manage personalized advertising through Google's controls and the regional consent interface where available.
- Contact us to ask about access, correction, deletion, objection, restriction, or other rights available under local law.
Because game-room data is temporary, pseudonymous, and not linked to an account, we may be unable to identify a specific record after a room expires. We may ask for enough information to verify and scope a request without collecting unnecessary identity documents.
Security and international processing
We use reasonable technical measures appropriate to a temporary browser game, including random room/player credentials and transport security on the public site. No internet service is risk-free. Hosting and advertising providers may process data in countries other than your own using the safeguards described in their policies.
Changes to this policy
Material changes will be posted on this page with a new effective date. Product behavior described here is checked against the application when the policy is updated.
